Team and mega-team flying
We are also part of a larger team, called L-katz, with whom we regularly practice. In the past, we flew occasionally as a 3-strong or 4-strong team at festivals. During the last couple of years, and in a new line-up, we have become a more regular festival team (picture credits: Carl Wright):
Together with Fran Burstall, and under the name 'Flame-grilled Fish', we became UK National Champions in the dual-line team discipline in 2018 (picture credits: Peter Heayns, Piyush Patel):
In 2019, L-katz made their debut at the National Championships and won the novice class. L-katz currently has a #4 UK ranking in the dual-line team discipline (picture credit: Helen Ribchester):
At the end of an event, we often fly with our friends from Airheads and Flame as part of an impromptu mega-team

The team we most often fly with are the Airheads (who made us honorary members a few years ago). Under the unofficial team name of 'Fisheadz' we can fly in a 5-strong "fish finger" or a 6-strong "fish sandwich" formation

The sole performance (at Exmouth 2015) of a mega-team consisting of Airheads, Flying Fish and Sky Symphony went under the names of 'Fish Head Symphony' on the Saturday, and 'Bouillabaisse' on the Sunday (picture credit: Valerie Hancorn):
We've also flown in a mixed dual/quad mega-team on occasion, the largest consisting of 9 kites, and combining Amalgamation, Airheads, Flame and Flying Fish; the mega-team went under the unofficial name of 'Amalgamated Flaming Fisheadz' (picture credit: Kate Rohn):
The largest mega-team we have ever flown in consisted of 16 kites, and combined Flying Fish with members of Fracture, Twisted Bridle, Flame, Airheads and a handful of other flyers (picture credit: Helen Ribchester):
